speaking of bubbles...

From as far back as I can remember, a simple bubble never seemed "simple" to me.

There were moments of strange conversation I recall having, as a pre-teen, about bubbles and multiple universes. In my young mind, I'd imagined a necklace that God kept with many separate universes somehow strung together. It never occurred to me only one universe existed.

In advanced science class, we were asked if any one of us could possibly imagine infinity. My naivety caused me to raise my hand. A declaration that, yes!, I believed I could imagine it, in some profound way.

I was the only one. They all laughed.

Needless to say, I did not do well in that class.

Darned bubble!

The ever expanding bubble. With no edge...no beginning...no end...

And to further confound my brain, where did those bubbles at the bottom of a boiling pot of water come from?

To this day, I am baffled.

Bubbles are amazing things.

I could explain where the bubbles come from at the bottom of the pot, but that would just take the magic away! :)
